Medical care of an international standard is of supreme importance – wherever we work in the world, and many of our clinics operate in countries where cultural and language barriers make it difficult to receive appropriate care. While some of our clinics are in international central locations, others are situated on sites in more remote regions. Each clinic offers primary, diagnostic and 24/7 emergency care and International SOS doctors are available to provide all types of treatments, ranging from simple vaccination to emergency treatment. Specialist care is also available.

We currently have a range of exciting opportunities for Remote Site Doctors and Clinic Doctors to be responsible for providing primary healthcare, emergency and evacuation services to our clients’ employees.

Remote Site Doctors will need a current ACLS certification along with relevant emergency services experience. Positions are permanent and are paid on a rotational basis on and off duty – and you’ll be able to keep your home residence whilst working a fixed rotation, flying in and out of your site of assignment. International SOS coordinates the flights and travel to and from site for each rotation and provides onsite accommodation and facilities. Current requirements are for remote site projects based in Papua New Guinea, Guinea Conakry, Southern Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

For the Clinic Doctors, you’ll need experience in both emergency and GP services. You’ll live permanently in the country you are working in and relocation assistance will be available. We are particularly keen to attract medical professionals to operate within International SOS clinics in exciting cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Tianjin, Takoradi.

Both roles require full registration to practice medicine in your country of origin. Qualifications/experience in occupational health or tropical medicine is highly desirable. These are key positions requiring people with good interpersonal skills at all levels, who can be flexible in their work ethos and with the ability to promote a professional, knowledgeable approach.

MINIMUM / REQUIREMENTS:
• Relevant medical qualification and full registration in the RSA

• Current ATLS/ACLS

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Provide all levels of medical care including a full Occupational Health Service

• Examine in-, out- and emergency patients, maintaining medical standards to meet legislative requirements
• Monitor patient progress in post-operative/treatment situations and take remedial action if required
• Control and direct the activities of the section and subordinates to ensure that performance standards; policies and procedures; objectives/targets and legal requirements are met and that safety/security standards are maintained
